About

Nicola Bloodworth Owner of Charlie Horse Toys
Hi, my name is Nicola.

I grew up in a very small country town in South Gippsland.  I moved to Melbourne to study teaching and received a Diploma of Education (Early Childhood) from the University of Melbourne.  I taught in a range of early childhood settings as a kindergarten teacher for about fifteen years until I had my third child. Life was too hectic to fit in a full time job as well as raising three kids. So I gave up teaching.  But I missed teaching.  I wanted to stay involved, but had to work around my family.

After having my fourth child, I wanted to expand my little business.  Or I should say, my business decided to grow too big to stay at home.  I now have a little showroom and office space.  I would love to meet you all, so please pop into my showroom and say hi. I originally started with a Facebook business page where I have slowly built up a lovely customer base.  This page is still very active with giveaways, shared teaching information and promoting new products.  You can visit my Facebook page here.   I now stock lots of gorgeous wooden toys and teaching resources. Lots of educational and art supplies.  And also some gorgeous hand made felted work from Nepal.

I live near Melbourne and am always on the look out for new resources and interesting toys to spark your child/rens curiosity. If there is something that you are looking for, I am always happy to help find it for you. Feel free to contact me with any questions or enquiries you may have.

I hope you enjoy my toys as much as I enjoy sharing them.

Kindest regards
Nicola
